Aftercare

Looking after your skin after waxing.

What you do in the 48 hours after your appointment has the biggest effect on how your skin looks and feels — and on how long your results last.

01

Immediately after

Skin may look pink and feel warm. This usually settles within a few hours. Keep the area clean and cool.

02

First 24-48 hours

Avoid heat, saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, swimming pools, sunbeds and direct sun on the treated area.

03

Exercise

Skip the gym and anything that causes friction or heavy sweating for at least 24 hours.

04

Products to avoid

No fragranced lotions, self-tan, deodorant on freshly waxed underarms, or exfoliating acids for 48 hours.

05

Exfoliation

Resume gentle exfoliation from day three, two to three times a week, to keep follicles clear.

06

Moisturising

Use a light, unfragranced moisturiser daily once any sensitivity has settled.

07

Ingrown hairs

Regular exfoliation and loose clothing are the best prevention. Never pick or squeeze.

08

Normal reactions

Mild redness, small bumps and slight tenderness for up to 48 hours are normal.

09

When to contact us

Get in touch if redness, swelling or discomfort persists beyond 48 hours — we will advise.

10

When to seek medical advice

Seek medical attention for spreading rash, pus, fever or any sign of infection.
